The sun was peaking
over the hill, letting the sunlight greet her with a slight kiss on her candy
red lips. Her eyes open at first they are blurry, carefully adjusting to the
light, as it cascades in from the red curtains She turns over, making the silk
sheets move, by kicking her feet before waking up and going throughout the day.
She stretches her arms, as if they were wings of an imaginary airplane, setting
off for a ride over the coast of Wilmington Mississippi. Walking silently to
the edge of her balcony, trying not to wake her mother and father to who were
still in their slumber. As the wind brushes her face, she steps out still in
overnight attire, a pair of plaid red and pink bottoms with a blue short-sleeved
top that was bought in a local Boutique, with the worlds Love life printed on the front, with tan house shoes to finish.
It
was so nice just to sit out, taking in the marvelous views of the Wilmington
skylines as they glide by. It was in many ways picturesque. After enjoying the
sun, she steps back in. silently closing the balcony doors behind her, with a
slightly loud thud, enough to make her jump. Her schoolbag sits by the entrance
door to her paradise like room. Being that it was the first day of her high
school life, she was nervous, and it showed in her clothes selection for the
upcoming school day. Her closet was alphabetized in alphabetical order by colors, a mirror sits
on the far left corner of the Hollywood themed closet. She had to pack her
lunch, because the housekeeper and butler still in bed. She glanced at the oven
clock displaying 6;00 A.M. Having to be out the door in thirty five minutes,
time was of the essence. Sitting at the breakfast bar, quickly scrambling for
something to eat. Carrel in the pantry is what she grabs to save time. Eating fast, like lightening, she gets up,
puts the glass bowl in the sink, writes a note to her parents and goes. Mom and
dad, going to school early, trying my best not to hit traffic: See you later! She
leaves it in the silver countertop, she heads for the door. The door to the
front entrance closing, taking out the keys to the car, she unlocks it, with
the press of a button.
The
car roars like a lion and she steps in, pulling the car in drives she heads off
to school. A anxious feeling comes over her, could it be butterflies in her stomach,
she doesn’t know. The school she will call home is fifteen minutes, if you’re
going by car, and ten minutes by bus. Showing off her skills at parallel parking
she parks it in the lot reserved for students. Getting her schedule out of her designer Verruca Andrews handbag
bringing it in with her and she closes the door, and locked the 2013 Chevy Verse,
her mom and dad got her for her birthday
the month before. Shaking she strolls
in, heading to the front desk, a tan boy is sitting sorting through a mountain
of papers, he looks about nineteen with eyes like blue crystal. He looks up,
and smiles “ Welcome to Wilmington Mississippi, how may I assist you” He says making
eye contact. “ What’s your name?” He says, seeing that I’m nervous. “I.. I am
Lauren” stuttering. “Well nice to you Lauren, did you just move here?” She
paused, “about a week ago, from New Orleans” she said fidgeting. “ My name’s
Travis, welcome adored” He stated, his hand awaiting her touch, meeting. She mutters
“Nice to meet you, what time does the bell ring? She mutters quietly looking at
her schedule, “ Fifteen more minutes, you came early for your first day, you
always this early?” she looks up “ Yes I am, I like to be the first one here,
my parents taught me to be punctual”
